Some important information for you regarding payment methods, delivery times, what to do when your delivery arrives and our returns policy...

 

Plants on the way peep! peep!All our plants are excellent quality specimens and most come with their own label with description and planting advice. Please un-pack all plants immediately on receipt of delivery or as soon as is possible and water well before planting. The plants will need a minimum of 24 hours to re-establish themselves once un-packed as their journey to you will mean in some cases the plants are without light for at least 24 hours.

 



Some small breakages may occur particularly if the new growth of the plant is soft. This will grow back quickly but please inform us immediately if there are any severe breakages (picture required) that could affect the survival of the plant. DELIVERIES ARE NORMALLY DISPATCHED WITHIN 5-10 WORKING DAYS* Delivery time is usually between 11am and 3pm, but we cannot accept responsibility for late deliveries due to events beyond our reasonable control. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT OUT OF STOCK ITEMS COULD TAKE UP TO 10-14 DAYS TO DELIVER. If you require a delivery on a specific day please add that information to your order in the comments box. We will contact you beforehand if there are any delays or we are unable to deliver on that day. We are mindful of your own arrangements you need to make so we will do our very best to ensure deliveries arrive promptly. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday only (prior arrangements for saturday deliveries must be confirmed by email first and any extra cost must be paid for in advance)

 *If items are not immediately available from our own stock we will email you directly. Out of stock items will be sourced and we will inform you ASAP as to a delivery date. Please do not arrange any contractors for planting purposes until you have received a delivery date confirmation.

All our prices shown are including VAT. We offer free delivery on orders over £150* only. Orders below this will be charged a standard shipping rate which will be visible in your shopping cart. However; *deliveries to certain areas of Northern Scotland, the Scottish Islands, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight will incur a handling fee. This will be kept to an absolute minimum as we do not like to unnecessarily charge anyone but logistical costs have to factored into these areas. We cannot supply plants to Northern or Southern Ireland at this time but we are working towards this and hope to have the relevant licence soon.

Payment terms

We have a very secure online payment system (secure trading) and this is a secure and easy way to pay for your products online through the shopping cart facility. However, we can offer payment over the phone services through our secure virtual terminal. If you prefer to pay by cheque that is fine, all goods will be dispatched when funds have been cleared.


What to do with...

Container grown plants can be held in the containers indefinitely but please ensure they are well watered every day (but they will look much better planted so don’t delay!)

Bareroot and rootball plants have a far shorter shelf life and require planting as soon after delivery as possible.

Place bareroot plants into water for one hour then place the roots in a plastic bag and leave plants somewhere sheltered ideally a garage or shed. Please keep roots wet until planting takes place. Rootball plants will need to be kept well watered and if stored outside before planting, protect the rootballs from winds/frost by covering with plastic sheet/bubble wrap or old sacking.

Returns Policy

If for any reason you need to change your order after delivery or are unhappy with the plants please contact us immediately. Plants will need to be returned to us before a refund can be issued. Cost of return postage will refunded, along with the purchase value of your goods (subject to the condition of the returned plants). We will offer a no quibble refund if the goods are received back by us in the condition they were sent. Please inspect the products carefully on receipt.

If there are future problems with plants then please contact us ASAP so we can resolve problems effectively. Please be aware we will not replace plants that have been poorly maintianed by the customer or planted in the wrong type of soil or location. Information on product types

Bareroot - Plants come with no soil or compost on their roots. These are available November to March and are a very cost effective product. The plants will come wrapped in a black plastic bag. This should be removed immediately on delivery and the plant roots watered thoroughly. The plants can be placed back into the bag until you are ready to plant them. Please keep the roots covered over. If for any reason you cannot plant them for several days just make sure the plant roots are kept moist and the roots are covered over.

Container grown - These plants are grown in plastic container pots and are available for planting all year round. The pots are okay for re-cycling.

Rootballed - Plants come with a soil rootball around the roots. These plants are grown in fields and dug up with the soil around them to help with establishment. The rootball comes wrapped in a bio-degradable sack/bag and this should be kept on the plant when planting.

Please note: Pictures or images shown on this website refering to plants are representative only. Actual plants you recieve may differ in shape, leaf colour & at certain times of the year may have either fruit, flowers or no leaves, pot sizes and colours may also differ. We reserve the right to offer alternative specifications if items are out of stock (we will inform you prior to delivery and will refund order if the alternative is not required)
